Why visit Chitwan National Park?

Chitwan National Park is one of Nepal’s most important wildlife destinations and a classic Terai nature experience. The official Nepal Tourism Board page highlights jungle safari, jungle walk, canoe ride, jeep drive and Tharu culture as core visitor activities.

The park is known for tropical and sub-tropical forest, riverine landscapes, grasslands, birdlife, crocodiles and possible sightings of species such as one-horned rhinoceros and Royal Bengal tiger. Wildlife is never guaranteed, so public copy should speak in terms of habitat and possibility rather than promise sightings.
